Embark Launches

April 2011 – M-DAT recently launched a series of emails that coordinates with ShortTermMissions.com. Embark: A Better Mission Trip and More is a five-part email series intended to help people planning to go on a mission trip prepare and debrief. Each installment of the eSeries is designed for a specific period of time, in relation to one's trip.

M-DAT Cited in Christianity Today, WSJ

June 2010 – Christianity Today recently interviewed M-DAT Co-Founder and Director of Operations David Armstrong for an article about a trend toward domestic short-term mission trips.

Urbana 2009 Report

January 2010 – M-DAT's time at Urbana 2009 was fruitful on every front.

M-DAT to Attend Urbana

December 2009 – M-DAT staffers David Armstrong and Paul Nielsen will be in St. Louis, Missouri on December 27, for Urbana 09, the largest missions conference in the United States. The conference continues through December 31. M-DAT has been preparing for Urbana, held every three years and hosted by InterVarsity, for much of the year.

M-DAT Takes Wii™ Golf Tournament National

December 2009 – Players from three disparate locations — Orlando, FL, Grand Island, NE, and Siloam Springs — stood united November 21 in a common cause, raising money for Siloam Springs-based Mission Data International and its vision to help people take their next step in missions. The impetus was the second annual M-DAT Wii™ Golf Tournament, played on the Nintendo Wii™ video game system. The three sites were connected via live web streaming.
