Dear David,

Hi, my name is Liz Stevens and I work at OMF International with Angie Mackey. I wanted to write you a quick note to let you and the rest of the gang there know how much shorttermmissions.com has meant to me.

January 2002 - It had been six months since my short-term to Kenya through my church. I was so blessed by my time there that I was ready to move forward with missions in mind. What was next? All I could think of was another trip, a longer one this time. Not knowing where to begin I went to the web and put 'short term missions' into my browser. Your website showed up and right then, without being too dramatic, my life was changed. After plugging in a little info on what I was looking for I found OMF International. I did end up going on two Serve Asia trips with them that next summer, 2002. I spent three months overseas which was exactly what I wanted. As a result of my relationship with OMF I wound up joining their mobilization efforts and moved to Denver to work out of their home office. That is where I am today.

I praise God for His grace, His hand over my life and all the events that I have mentioned (and much more). It is important, in my mind, to also say thank you to the people who have had a hand in making these resources, these experiences possible. So, thank you, shorttermmissions.com. I always mention you as part of my faith journey. I highly recommend you to all my friends. God only knows my future and how missions will continue to play a part in it. But it always will!

American Caribbean Experience
Earlier today, David Armstrong — M-DAT's agency services guy — talked with Wendy at American Caribbean Experience (ACE). ACE first listed their mission trips on ShortTermMissions.com last June. Being on ShortTermMissions.com has been huge for ACE. They lost track of the number of groups that have signed on with them through the website (at least 10 groups). Further, when they listed individual medical opportunities they received more replies than they could keep up with. They finally had to shut off that opportunity. However, Wendy called us today because of reason number three. With considerable hesitation, she listed their need for summer interns to lead their groups. ACE usually only takes people who previously served on one of their own trips, but Wendy now has three accepted candidates that are awesome. She can't believe it.
